Fears Of Local Spread As COVID-19 Toll Hits 276
22 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic were declared on Wednesday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. The positive confirmation brought the total number of cases in the country to a total of 276.
The increase brought to bear fears expressed by senior Federal Government officials of the prospects of community transmission in the light of failures by the citizenry to heed injunctions on social distancing.
The new cases were found in Lagos 15; FCT 4, Bauchi 2 and Edo 1.
