Marry Younger Men, Aisha Urges Old Single Ladies

Activist and Co-Convener of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, Aisha Yesufu has advised women of her age who are still waiting for men for marriage to go after young men for marriage.
Ms. Yesufu who is 46, made this known, while reacting to a Twitter post showing the picture of a couple, as it is evidently seen that the woman is more of advanced age than the man.
She said: “When I see women my age who say they are waiting for men to come ask for their hands in marriage I shake my head. Go and find yourself some young man and ask for his hands in marriage. Buy his groom things and even throw in a cute car!
Ask him to memorise a surah as your dowry!”
Obviously reacting to the insinuations that younger men cheat on older spouses, she argued that even men with younger wives engage extra-marital affairs, noting that cheating is not age-based.
