The Benue State COVID-19 index case, Mrs. Susan Okpe has cried out alleging foul play in the test carried out on her saying she does not have the coronavirus and should be released from incarceration.

In a video, the London based Okpe, said she is being kept by force and that she is not sick and that her test has come out negative and vowed not to be treated in Nigeria that she does not trust the authorities in the country.

Mrs. Okpe, who reportedly arrived the country last month for a funeral during which she fell sick and went to a hospital from where her sample was taken for diagnosis and reportedly returned positive.

She was eventually moved to Abuja for treatment from where she made the video.

She said:

“Hi, everybody, this is Susan Idoko Okpe, née Lawani. I am pleading with everybody to please tell Nigerian government to let me go. This is my 16th day of incarceration. What have I done, what have I done? Benue state lied on me that I have COVID-19. I just got the result yesterday after 15 days and the result is a stage play with different date birthdays, different recordings which they themselves know and trying to put right.”
