By Ayodele Oluwafemi
Popular Fuji Star, Wasiu Ayinde aka KWAM 1 has given reason for the rumour that linked him in a sexual relationship to one of the queens of the Alaafin of Oyo, Olori Ajoke.
The popular musician who denied any relationship also affirmed that it was even a taboo in the Yoruba culture for such to occur.
KWAM 1, in an Instagram live chat, with Oviation Magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, opened up that the rumour was initiated by those who were envious of the chieftaincy title as the Mayegun of Yorubaland.
The Fuji Star, in his reaction laced in English and Yoruba , said “whoever started this very malicious kind of a talk is an enemy of the good society. Enemy of the good society because you do not say you have hatred for someone and in the corner of your house you just fabricated a story against them.”
KWAM 1 noted that he has not even engaged with the queens and children of the Alaafin, stressing that he only met some of them on few occasions in events.
“The queen in question and other queens of the Alaafin, I am not privileged to know many of them, the only time, I had the opportunity to see them was the time, I was crowned the title of Mayegun and one time that I saw the Alaafin during an event in Epe,” he said.
He disclosed that those who developed hatred for him because he was made the Mayegun of Yoruba land were behind his current travails.
“It is the hatred that I was crowned the Mayegun that led to the peddling of fake news against me,” he said.
The Fuji star asserted that he was born in a good and wealthy family that knows about the culture and tradition of the Yoruba land, noting that it is a taboo and curse to engage in an act of committing sexual relationship with the king’s wife.
“It will be a taboo for me to think such a thing upon my head, when I am not cursed and I know what is called tradition and culture. It is a curse that nobody can clean away from,” he said.
