Rep Warns The Rich, Help Poor Neighbours Or…

Member of the House of Representatives, Oghene Egoh, PDP, Amuwo Odofin has warned Nigeria’s elite class of impending disaster if they do not reach out to help their neighbours in the face of the biting hunger in the land.

Ogene speaking in an interview lamented the failure of the Federal Government palliative measures to reach the grassroots observing disproportionate distribution of the palliatives.

Noting that the suffering in the land is testing the faithfulness of good Christians and Muslims, the legislator who spoke in an interview on Channels on Tuesday said:

“Now you see people who were ordinarily good Christians and Muslims but when they see vehicle with food. When you are hungry, your children are hungry, anything you see you will grab.”

Warning that the poor could take out vengeance on the rich who do not help the poor among them, the federal legislator said:

“Our big men should also help, please buy rice and give to your neighbours. People who have more than enough to eat should help those who do not have living around them.

“You can buy a bag of rice and put it in front of your house and let people come and take. If we do that there will be peace. If you don’t do that your neighbours will come and join to attack you,” he warned.
