Eniola Badmus: Why I Demanded N150k For N500k Giveaway
Popular actress, Eniola Badmus has finally come out to defend her stance in charging a 30% commission for using her Instagram handle to dispense a N500,000 giveaway to hungry Nigerians.
The 42 year old Ms. Badmus has been the butt of criticisms on social media all day Wednesday after the news of how she collected the N500,000 and subsequently went on to demand an additional N150,000 before commencing with the giveaway.
She has been criticized on twitter and dragged for trying to profit from the philanthropic gesture of the benevolence of the Nigerian who asked her to give out N5,000 to 100 of her fans.
But responding late on Wednesday, Ms. Badmus who came to fame in the film Jenifa, debunked the insinuations against her saying the N150,000 was meant for bank charges and other inconveniences.
Affirming her own inclination to helping the poor she mentioned that she has on her part yearly organized giveaways for her fans.
