Gambari Says His Loyalty Is To Buhari

The newly inaugurated Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari says his loyalty and obligation will be direct to President Muhammadu Buhari and not directly to the nation.
Speaking with State House correspondents, on Wednesday, in Abuja, he appreciated the president for giving him the opportunity to serve him and the country.
When asked what Nigerians should expect from him, the new CoS said, “I have not started, so I will find out and maybe. I don’t report directly to the nation, I report directly to the president.”
The new CoS further said the president needs his loyalty, competence and support.
The former UN Under-Secretary said his guiding principle is “to serve the president to the best of my ability.”
