245 New COVID-19 Cases, Lagos Remains Hotbed



The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday recorded 245 new cases of COVID-19 across the country bringing total number of infections to 7,261.

The cases were reported from 22 states and the FCT excluding Kogi and Cross River States, the only two states in the country yet to report any case of the disease.

The hotbed of the pandemic continued to be in Lagos which on Friday reported 131 new cases representing more than half of the cases reported on that day.

NCDC confirmed the new figures in its verified tweeter handle.

NCDC stated that the total number of recovered patients stands at 2,007, while 221 deaths have been recorded.
