Fears As FCT Records Highest Tally Of New Cases

70 New Cases In FCT, 121 In Lagos

328 cases of the COVID-19 pandemic were recorded in Nigeria on Friday in 13 states of the country and also in the FCT which recorded its highest number of new cases.

70 new cases of the coronavirus were diagnosed in Abuja on Friday representing 21% of all the new cases recorded for the day.

The new cases brought the total number of cases of the disease to 11,844 spread across 35 states of the country and the FCT.

The only state yet to record an incident of the disease is Cross River State.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in its tweet late on Friday said that Lagos as usual accounted with the highest number of new cases. The state recorded 121 new cases representing 37% of all cases. It was followed by FCT.

Five mortalities brought the total number of those who have died from the pandemic to 333.
