Lagos Mourns As Tinubu’s Political Enforcer Dies

Shock has followed the death of Senator Adebayo Osinowo, one of the most enduring political faces since the advent of the Fourth Republic in Lagos State.

Senator Osinowo who served for four straight terms in the Lagos State House of Assembly up till 2019 was last year elected to the Senate to represent the Lagos East Senatorial District. He in that period became one of the most steadfast political disciples of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and was a legman of the political leader of the state.

Popularly called Pepperito, he died on Monday at First Cardiologist Hospital, Lagos of illnesses reportedly linked to COVID-19.

He was aged 64 years before his death.

Many Nigerians have taken to the microblogging platform, Twitter to express shock over his death.
