Omo-Agege: An Unsung Hero – Isoko Group

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has been lauded as an unsung hero and reliable political leader owing to his strides in the delivery of democratic dividends to his primary constituency and beyond.

The Isoko Ethnic Nationality Movement made the remark while evaluating the DSP’s achievements outside his lawmaking functions in a statement signed by Hon. Goddy Ewerode and Otunba Nick Ovuakporie President and Secretary respectively on behalf of the group.

The group praised what it described as the passion with which Senator Omo-Agege has employed in meeting the basic needs of his people within the last one year and listed some of the all important projects influenced by the Deputy Senate President as his constituency projects;

1. Construction of 10,000 Gallons Solar Borehole Supply Scheme at Amukpe Sapele, Sapele L.G.A.

2. Construction of Primary Healthcare Centre in Ubogo, Udu L.G.A.

3. Construction of Primary Healthcare Centre in Ophori-Agbarho, Ughelli North L.G.A.

4. Construction of Primary Healthcare Centre in Omavovwe-Agbarha, Ughelli North LGA, Delta State.

5. Installation of 1 Nos 500KVA, 11/0.415KV Transformer (Substation) at Ighwreovie Ogor, Ughelli North L.G.A. 

6. Installation of 1 Nos 500KVA, 11/0.415KV Transformer (Substation) at G.R.A, Effurun, Uvwie L.G.A. 

7. Installation of 1 Nos 500KVA, 11/0.415KV Transformer (Substation) at Ekredjabor, Ughelli Town, Ughelli North L.G.A. 

8. Installation of 2 Nos 500KVA, 11/0.415KV Transformer (Substation) at Queen’s Lane and Ighorowhonu Streets, Ughelli Town, Ughelli North L.G.A. 

9. Installation of 1 NOS 500KVA, 11/0.415KV Transformer (Substation) at Emonu-Orogun, Ughelli North L.G.A. 

10. Installation of 1 NOS 500KVA, 11/0.415KV Transformer (Substation) at Ovara/Umusu-Orogun, Ughelli North L.G.A. 

11. Installation of 1 NOS 500KVA, 11/0.415KV Transformer (Substation) at Ovara-Unukpor Orogun, Ughelli North L.G.A.

While congratulating distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege on his achievements, the group stated that, leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality which is what the Deputy President of Senate has been able to achieve within the last one year of legislative business.
