Media aide to Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the factional chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Bolaji Tunji has formally dismissed rumours that the former governor of Oyo State has died.

In a statement published on twitter late on Thursday he asked that speculations concerning the acting chairman of a faction of the ruling party be ignored.

His assertion, however, was no relief on the health of the party which late on Thursday got further enmeshed in crisis with the court order invalidating Ajimobi’s stay as chairman.

The court order issued by an Abuja High Court presided over by Justice S. U. Bature recognized Victor Giadom as the Acting National Chairman of the party. Mustapha Saliu the National Vice Chairman of the party was also recognized as the National Secretary.

The decision has put the APC in serious jeopardy and apparently not able to present a candidate for the elections in Edo and Ondo States given the factional contentions.

In his statement, Mr. Tunji said:
