More Rape Trouble For Dbanj As IG Orders Probe

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered the investigation of the alleged rape accusation, involving popular Nigerian musician, Oladapo Oyebanjo aka D’Banj.
The IG’s response was sequel to a petition filed by Seyitan Babatayo’s lawyer, who accused D’Banj of raping her, at Glee hostel, in 2018.
The directive was contained in a letter signed by the Principal Staff Officer to the IG, DCP Idowu Owohunwa and addressed to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department, Area 10, Garki, Abuja.
The letter titled, ‘Re: Petition Against (1) Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo (Aka D’Banj) for Rape Indecent Sexual Assault, Attempted Assault on Miss Seyitan Temidayo, read in part,
“I forward herewith copy of letter dated June 5, 2020 received from Ojoge, Omileye and Partners on the above underlined subject. I am to respectfully convey the directive of the Inspector-General of Police that you treat.
“Accept the assurances of my esteemed regards please.”
GWG earlier reported how a model scout, Benjamin Ese narrated how D’Banj allegedly raped her friend, a situation that sparked outrage on the social media.
Seyitan later came out to reveal herself as the alleged victim.
