Akeredolu Sacks Deputy’s Aide Over Viral Video

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has sacked Mr. Allen Sowore, the Special Assistant on New Media to the embattled Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

Sowore is believed to have masterminded the leak of the viral video which showed the deputy governor on Saturday night being stopped from leaving the Government House with what he claimed as his personal property by the commissioner of police, Bolaji Salami.

Sowore had shown consistent loyalty to the deputy governor who defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP last weekend.

The statement reads, “The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has relieved Mr. Allen Sowore of his appointment with immediate effect.

“Until his sack, Mr Sowore was a Special Assistant to the governor on New Media.

“Mr Sowore is advised to submit all government’s properties in his possession to the Chief of Staff to the Governor.

“The Governor wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavour.”
