The Inspector-General of Police IGP, Muhammed Adamu on Tuesday sealed the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC to avoid a clash over office space between two contending national officers, GWG has learnt.

Sources say that the police moved in swiftly to avoid a clash between supporters of Barr. Worgu Boms who was installed by the Abiola Ajimobi led faction and Chief Victor Giadom, the acting national chairman of a contending faction.

Boms was inaugurated on Monday by the Ajimobi faction to take the position of Deputy National Secretary, Giadom’s substantive position prior to his emergence as acting national chairman by a court order.

It was gathered that Giadom had come to his office and stayed for sometime on Monday before leaving.

Forces aligned to the Ajimobi faction it was gathered apparently peeved by his continuing use of the office were said to have made moves to bring Boms to take over the office on Tuesday, a development that the police feared could lead to breakdown of law and order.

“That was what led to the police sealing the secretariat to avoid a breakdown of law and order,” a source revealed.
