The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has dismissed claims by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State about an imminent mass exodus of governors from the party to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Bello speaking in a television interview monitored by GWG had played down the recent defection of Governor Godwin Obaseki to the PDP from the APC.

Obaseki who was the vice-chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, PGF defected after he was stopped by the Adams Oshiomhole led executive of the APC from seeking a second term on the party’s platform.

Responding to the loss, Bello had told Channels Television on Friday that the APC itself was set to win ten governors from the opposition PDP. He did not give the names or indications as to where they would come from.

“I can tell you that there are up to 10 PDP governors wanting to join APC and that is going to happy very soon,” GWG quoted him to have said on Channels Television.

However, the PDP was quick to fault him, saying that when the going was good for the APC that the PDP governors did not defect.

“When the going was good, APC governors were joining the PDP. So, what has gone right in their party that will now attract any of our governors to them? He is hallucinating, he is dreaming big,” the Deputy National Publicity Secretary, of the PDP, Prince Diran Odeyemi told Saturday Vanguard.
