El-Rufai Backs Keyamo In Face-Off With NASS
By GWG Staff
Governor Nasir El-Rufai has praised Mr. Festus Keyamo as a steadfast patriot whose zeal to the common man has endeared him as a son to President Muhammadu Buhari.
El-Rufai’s gushing praise for Keyamo was in response to the faceoff between the minister and the National Assembly in which has seen him stand steadfastly against alleged attempts by the legislature to dictate the implementation of the 774,000 job scheme conceived by the administration.
Responding to a report by a magazine which chronicled Keyamo’s role in the
774,000 job affair, El-Rufai tweeted thus:
El-Rufai’s tweet would have been appreciated by political stakeholders to the extent that Keyamo is about one of the few since 2003 to have punched the National Assembly in the way that El-Rufai did in that year.
El-Rufai had accused two principal officers of the National Assembly of demanding a N50 million bribe from him at that time to clear the ‘mountain’ against his nomination as minister.
Keyamo had also in a similar way accused the National Assembly of trying to corner the 774,000 jobs the administration has earmarked for the lower income members of the society.
