Leave Joi’s ‘Four Husbands’ Alone, Akpabio Told
Nigerians Want Him To Answer Her Posers

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has come under fire on the social media for opening up on the family affairs of Ms. Joi Nunieh, the immediate past managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, instead of reacting to the corruption allegations leveled against him.
Akpabio and Nunieh had appeared before a Senate ad hoc committee probing the alleged mismanagement of N40 billion by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the commission.
After the Senate committee meeting, Nunieh, while speaking with journalists accused Akpabio of misappropriation, awarding of contracts to proxies and bombing of oil pipelines.
Akpabio, in his response, on Arise Television said Nunieh has bad temperament, a character he said any of her four former husbands could be called upon to attest to.
While asking the television presenter sought to know the link between the supposed four husbands of Nunieh was related to the issues on ground, Akpabio did not respond.
“I am not saying anything is wrong with her. But something is wrong with her temperament. You do not need to ask me. But you ask about four other husbands she married,” Akpabio said.
Many Nigerians have taken to Twitter to task the minister for resorting to personality attack and opening up on the family affairs of the accuser instead of addressing the corruption allegations.
