Claims that Governor Godwin Obaseki has made an inroad into Edo Central were challenged on Monday after Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu made a major impression among major stakeholders in the senatorial district.

Ize-Iyamu not only went away with the goodwill of the people, but also went away with prayers after a series of meetings at the Assemblies of God Church and at the APC secretariat both at Uromi.

Ize-Iyamu at the meetings explained that politics was not a dirty game so long as one brought sincerity and purposefulness into it. He used the opportunity to project his SIMPLE agenda which he said was the framework of his campaign.

The APC candidate also flayed Obaseki over what he alleged as his “grand display of hypocrisy and insincere lip-service to the Esan people whom he had abandoned for years now that he needs their votes.”

The district pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, Uromi, Rev. Felix Ilelbodiaye, commended the APC candidate and assured him of the people’s support at the polls.

Prayers were held for the candidate before he proceeded for other meetings at the APC secretariat.
