NCFront Sets Panel To Calm Nerves In Edo, Ondo

To checkmate rising tension in Edo and Ondo States ahead of the forthcoming governorship elections, the leadership of the newly launched National Consultative Front, NCFront has set up a National Monitoring Task Force to work with a Local Intervention Group.

The group in each of the State will ensure that the elections come out credible and fair to all parties.

A press release from NCFront National Headquarters, signed by Head of Publicity, Mallam Dr Tanko Yunusa, said the purpose of the Task Force is in line with one of the strategic objectives of the NCFront to ensure equity and justice for all in Nigeria.

He said the Task Force to be inaugurated next week shall be expected to safeguard the integrity and credibility of the forthcoming elections as well as the sanctity of lives during the elections.

NCFront noted that no Political ambition is worth the blood and life of any soul.

According to the press release, NCFront was set up “following overwhelming engagements and pressure from our teeming members and allies across the world has launched a new leadership mobilisation drive tagged National Patriotic Circles of Citizens of Conscience among Concerned Nigerians ahead of a major Nationwide Mass demonstration against political corruption being planned by the NCFront.

The group is being jointly led by Former Speaker of Nigeria, Rt Hon Ghali Umar Naaba and a two time Presidential Candidate and Founder of the Lagos Business School, Prof Pat Utomi.

The press release further said the National Secretariat of NCFront has mandated its Head of Operations, Barr Mrs. Aye Georgina Dakpokpo, who is also the immediate past National Secretary of Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC to work with the Vice-Chairman of Publicity Committee of NCFront, Comrade Mark Adebayo, who is also the National Chairman of KOWA Party.

They are also expected to work with Comrade Akinloye Oyeniyi, Director of Special Duties of NCFront to immediately facilitate the work of the two high powered task forces comprising frontline political leaders and technocrats of NCFront to link up and provide immediate strategic leadership for the emergent Intervention Groups in Edo and Ondo States respectively.
