Wife Accuses Husband Of Plot To Use Child For Money Ritual

A Karu, Upper Area Court sitting in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State heard from a Karu housewife, Mr. Deborah Joseph that her husband Pious Joseph had plotted to use their child for money rituals.

Mrs. Joseph who is suing for divorce thus charged the court to dissolve her ten year marriage to Pious saying she was no longer interested in the marriage.

Mrs. Joseph further  told the court that her husband was no longer  taking care of  his family .

“My husband is always coming home late and drunk. We have two kids and I have been the one catering for the family. I feed them and pay house rent.”

“I want this court to separate us because there is no love again and he has not paid my dowry,” she said.

However, the respondent denied the petitioner’s claim  by the petitioner saying that since they got married , he has been taking  all the family responsibilities ,  providing  for them, and  he  had never raised his hand on her.

“Since I lost my job, life has never been the same,” he told the court.

He begged the court not to grant his wife’s request.

The presiding judge, Mr. Ibrahim Shekarau, urged the parties to go home and make peace.

The matter was therefore adjourned till August 12, for judgement.
