Jegede Invites All Ondo To His Moving Train

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming Ondo governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede has said that the momentum behind him is like a moving train with the people of the state determined to revise what he described as the impunity of the present administration.
The candidate has also promised to run an inclusive government, if elected as the governor of the state, vowing that every section of the state would benefit from good governance.
Jegede emerged winner of the PDP primary on Wednesday night, having polled 888 votes, with his closest rival as the state deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, who scored 675 votes.
Jegede who spoke in a television interview with AIT while repeatedly acknowledging the hand of God in his emergence, however, called on the citizenry from across all divides to join what he described as a moving train.
The former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the state, said:
“It is a moving train, God willing, it will get to its destination which is the Government House.
“Our doors are open because in this business, we also realize that no person can do it alone and I’m calling on all well wishers, even those who are on the other side that it is the time to allow Ondo State have the best of government, that this the time to allow our people have access to medicals without paying exorbitant fees, this is the time to for our students who have been taken out of school because of high fees imposed by this government, this is the time to also join us in building a better society.”
“This is the time that we expect that the local governments must be part of this so that they can have access to their funds and be able to run their local councils well.”
