An Aviation logistics firm, Tropical Arctic Logistics Limited (TAL) is set to offer helicopter shuttle service from Lagos Island to the Mainland.

This is as partial closure of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos commenced on Friday.
Daily Trust reported that the service would cost $500 (N194, 000 at the official exchange rate) while a return ticket would cost $1000 (N388,000), an amount that most likely will be afforded by high net worth individuals.

The flights will be operated between Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA2) Ikeja and Ozumba Mbadiwe in Victoria Island.

Information on the company’s website showed it will be operating the flights with AugustaWestland AW139 Helicopters, Sikorsky S-92A helicopters, among others in its fleet.

It was learnt that in keeping with the COVID-19 social distancing guideline, the flight would take only eight passengers instead of about 15 which it was configured to carry.
