The race for the remaining two spots in the UEFA Champions League positions in the English Premier League is running into a tantalizing and unpredictable finish.

It is going right down to the wire in a way few had expected. Two spots are up for grabs, with three teams still capable of earning the right to represent England in Europe’s elite club competition next season.

Undoubtedly, this season was exhilarating with Liverpool clinching the Premier League title. Manchester City has already secured Champions League qualification as they sit second on the table. The battle for Europe has been one of the most competitive ever witnessed.

Chelsea, Leicester and Manchester United  are gunning for Champions League qualification. Interestingly, drama will unfold when Leicester host Manchester United at the King Power stadium.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side will have to avoid a defeat in order to secure qualify. On the contrary, it is a win or bust situation for the Foxes. They have to triumph over the Red Devils or draw the game and hope that Chelsea get defeated by Wolves at Stamford Bridge. Their destinies aren’t really in their hands.

However, Chelsea just need to draw the game against Wolves at Stamford Bridge to secure a berth at next season’s Champions League. So it is win or draw for Chelsea to qualify, draw for Manchester United and win or draw for Leicester.

Unfortunately, one of these three teams will have to settle for the Europa League spot. It’s the last roll of the dice for them.
