A video showing a lady, who refused her boyfriend’s marriage proposal because he refused to kneel, while proposing with a ring has enlivened the social media
The now-viral apparently happened in a public park showed the young man stretching forth his hand with a marriage proposal ring standing, asking the lady for her hands.
The lady was, however, shocked by her boyfriend’s posture in standing and not kneeling as many men do.
“Why are you standing? You are engaging me and you are standing?” the lady asked.
The young man responded, “Does that mean anything? It does not change the love I have for you.”
A third party who is probably the person with the camera appealed, “Go on your knees.”
The lady protested, “You mean I do not worth it. People are begging you to kneel.”
The incident has set tongue wagging on the social media.

Meanwhile, Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie has been brought to the conversation due to his stance that is ‘unAfrican’ for men to kneel while proposing to ladies.
Many Twitter users argued that the young man in the video must have been listening to motivational talks from Edochie, hence, his refusal to kneel for his girlfriend.
