Aisha Flown To Dubai To Treat Neck Pain

First Lady Aisha Buhari has been flown to Dubai for an emergency treatment, The Punch has reported. She was lifted to Dubai shortly after the Sallah Holidays to treat a nagging neck pain which resurfaced after a condolence visit to Mrs. Florence Ajimobi in Lagos.  

Mrs. Ajimobi lost her husband, the immediate past governor of Lagos State in June.

“The first lady started having severe neck  pain during the 2019 Presidential electioneering. And she sought treatment abroad afterwards,” a presidential source told The Punch.

“However, recently the pain returned and was even worse than the first time. So, she was flown out last week. It was indeed a medical emergency.”

Mrs. Buhari’s spokesman, Aliyu Abdullah, was, however, said to have claimed ignorance saying that he had not been to the Presidential Villa in two weeks.

 “I have not been to the Villa for the last two weeks so I cannot say for sure if she is in the country or not. However, I can categorically tell you that there is no emergency,” he said.
