Akeredolu Petitions Police Over Ex-Deputy Governor's Refusal To Handover Officials Vehicles

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi on Monday defended himself against allegations of desperation saying that he was being driven in his quest by the people.

Ajayi spoke following his defection from the PDP to the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP. He had earlier following his defection to the PDP a month ago claimed that he was in the PDP to stay.

However, following his loss of the party’s ticket to Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, and his earlier assertions of remaining in the PDP to help defeat Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the PDP candidate on Monday defected to the ZLP.

It was the deputy governor’s third party in as many months triggering accusations of desperation against the deputy governor.

Responding,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Allen Sowore, media aide to the deputy governor while speaking in an interview said the dep governor was being driven by the people and was being moved by the desires of the people.

“The people are the ones driving him. The people asked the deputy governor that you cannot continue with this government that has been making our people to drop out of university with high school fees.

“When we got to PDP we discovered that there was an alliance between the PDP executive and the present government in Ondo State and the people said they were not satisfied that he must be on the ticket in order to rescue the state,” Sowore said on Channels Television.
