321 New COVID-19 Cases in 23 States, FCT
Nigeria recorded 321 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic on Monday in 23 states and the FCT, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC reported in its daily compilation of developments.
There were also two deaths bringing the total number of mortalities attributable to the pandemic to 1,004.
Lagos State had the highest number of incidents with 98 followed by FCT, Kaduna and Nassarawa with 34, 30 and 25 new cases respectively.
Among the new cases was the Lagos State commissioner for health, Prof. Akin Abayomi who has led the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the state and provided support to the NCDC.
The new cases brought the total number of cases to 52,548 with 39,257 persons so far recovering.
