APC Glad Ize-Iyamu’s Court Cases Moved To Abuja

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court for ordering the transfer of all cases relating to Edo State APC, eligibility of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the party’s governorship candidate in Edo State to Abuja.

The party’s Tactical Team in a statement made available to GWG said the development was sequel to various petitions from parties who expressed their lack of confidence in the learned judges in the Benin division handling the matter and on the ground of lack of security.

While justifying the move, the team in a statement issued by Felix Isere said:

“It is on record that the PDP for many months now have been boasting that they will use the Court to subvert the will of the People. They know their candidate is not popular and has no single chance of winning the election, hence the only alternative is to get the mandate through the back door, reenacting the Bayelsa State travesty.

“Luckily, the APC is wiser now and will never allow the PDP,  a party of tax-collectors to steal our mandate through the Court.

“Also, we wish to express our disappointment at the press Statement released  by the State Publicity of the PDP on behalf of the party lamenting over this development and making fruitless attempt to blackmail the Judiciary.

“Abuja is not a one man city, it is a city for everybody and best place where cases like these should be held. The rejection of that decision and subsequent lamentation by the PDP shows they had a sinister intention which has been frustrated. This is both bizarre and absurd while at the same time hilarious.

“As a party that believes in fairness, democratic process of achieving our goals and respect for institutions like the judiciary, we sincerely commend the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court for transferring these cases to Abuja.

“The transfer will enable her to assign it to new judges and all the cases will have to start from the beginning. This will guarantee justice, fairness and safety.

“We enjoin Edo people not to be distracted by the antics and shenanigans of the PDP but remain focused and committed towards ensuring on September 19 they will use their PVC to send PDP out of Osadebey Avenue.”
