By Ella Makondo
2019 presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) Atiku Abubakar has come under intense criticism by social media users following his condolence message over the demise of Hollywood actor , Chadwick Boseman who died on Friday from colon cancer.
Alhaji Atiku via his verified Twitter handle had joined others to expressed his sadness over the demise of the movie star.
In his tweet, Atiku said ” In 2018, I joined my children to watch the much talked about ” Black Panther.”
“It was a good film , and I was happy they took me to see it. Chadwick Boseman was an unprecedented and witty act, and his excellence was consistent across his many other movies .
“He will be dearly missed”.
But his condolence message generated a lot of reactions from social media users who accused him of having opinion over everything except the death sentence passed on a singer by a Sharia Court in Kano for blaspheming against Prophet Mohammed.
Some of the Twitter users accused him of supporting the judgment saying his silence shows he was in support of it.
It would be recalled that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State had in the last week vowed to sign the singer’s death sentence in no distant time.
