Nigerians have reacted to the visit of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to President Muhammadu at the State House in Abuja.

Personal Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Monday afternoon

“President @MBuhari receives in audience General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (@rccghq), @PastorEAAdeboye, at the State House, Abuja,”

Many of those who have reacted to the news argued that the visit may be connected to the controversy of trailing the Company and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020.

Pastor Adeboye has aligned himself with the stance of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the controversial CAMA 2020, as the Christian body rejected the provision of the law that tends to allow the appointment of trustees on religious organizations in the case of financial irregularities.

As the revered cleric visited Buhari, many quickly pointed the direction of CAMA.
