Buhari Greets Veteran Journalist, Onayemi At 80

President Muhammadu Buhari has saluted veteran journalist, Mr. Femi Onayemi on the occasion of his 80^th birthday on Sunday, September 6.

Buhari in a statement issued on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina described Mr. Onayemi saluted the journalism veteran for his doggedness to the profession he loves.

Onayemi has spent more than 50 years in the journalism profession with experience as a start up editor, consultant among others in newspapers and magazines from Healthcare Magazine, Daily Times, Daily Sketch, The Punch, National Concord, The Mail, and many others.

“At the princely age of 80, President Buhari salutes the doggedness of Onayemi, which still sees him being editorial consultant to some newspapers, and imparting knowledge and skill to the younger generation,” Adesina wrote.

The President wishes the veteran journalist happy celebration, and longer life in good health and all-round prosperity.
