Star Actress Shot, Dies Trying To Mediate Argument

The death of South African actress, Thandeka Mdeliswa, who was reportedly shot dead at her family home in Evander Mpumalanga during an argument, has left many in tears.
The popular actress met her death when she intervened in an argument between two men and her brother in their home last Thursday. She was rushed to a hospital immediately after the shooting but was confirmed dead on Saturday.
Reacting to her demise, her family, in a statement, on Sunday, expressed pain about the death of their daughter, noting that the incident is an affirmation of violence against women in South Africa.
The family said, “It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing on of our dearest daughter.
“She was shot in Evander, Mpumalanga on Thursday 3 September 2020. She was immediately rushed to Evander hospital, stabilised then airlifted to Witbank after which she was transferred to Steve Biko Academic Hospital (Pretoria) as her condition was critical but stable. She passed on in the morning of the 5th September 2020 (Saturday).”
The South African police said they have identified the owner of the gun used to murder the actress, calling for information to the whereabouts of the person who pulled the trigger.
Many South Africans have taken to the microblogging platform to mourn her death, as they stated how they will surely miss her smiling face on the popular TV series, Ikani.
