One Dies As 188 New COVID-19 Cases Emerge

Nigeria recorded 188 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic on Friday as the total number of cases in the country rose to 56,017.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC in its report of developments also reported that the total number of those discharged rose to 43,998 while the total number of deaths arising from the pandemic rose to 1,076 deaths after one mortality.

The new cases were recorded in 16 states and the FCT.

Lagos State topped the number of new cases with 47 followed by Enugu with 25 and Plateau 21 cases.
