3,442 COVID Patients Discharged; 126 New Cases

Nigeria recorded 126 new infections of the COVID-19 pandemic on Wednesday just as 3,442 persons were discharged from isolation facilities on that day bringing the number of those presently infected to 7,641 persons across the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC in a tweet late on Wednesday also announced three more mortalities that brought the total number of deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic to 1,091 in the country.

The 126 new infections recorded in 16 states and the FCT brought the total number of cases in the country to 56,604 out of which 47,872 have been successfully treated and discharged.

A whopping 3,442 persons were discharged on Wednesday according to the records provided by the NCDC.

The FCT led the number of new infections with 37 followed by Lagos with 27 and Plateau 16 new cases.
