189 New COVID-19 Cases As Lagos Curve Goes Up

Nigeria recorded 189 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic on Saturday in 15 states and the FCT, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC announced late on Saturday.

The new infections brought the total number of infections recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 57,145 confirmed.

There have been 48,431 recoveries. One death on Saturday brought the total number of deaths 1,095 deaths.

Meanwhile, the pandemic continued to regain strength in Lagos with four straight hikes in the number of new cases.

Lagos topped the number of new cases with 70 on Saturday, followed by Plateau-37 and FCT-24.
