Govt Wants Its Cut From BBNaija Prize Money

The Lagos State Internal Revenue (LIRS) has elicited social media reactions after asking the winner of the just concluded reality, Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija), Olamilekan Agbeleshe, popularly known as Laycon to pay his tax from the N85 million prize.

LIRS, the state tax agency, on Tuesday, took to its official Twitter handle to congratulate Laycon for being the winner of the BBNaija ‘lockdown’ edition, while asking him to pay his tax.

Laycon was, on Sunday, announced as the winner of the 71 days reality show, after polling 60 percent of the total votes of the viewers, among four finalists.

“Congratulations @itsLaycon  Winner @BBNaija Lockdown edition. More wins!! We look forward to seeing you in Y2021 as you #payyourtax,” LIRS wrote.

Many Nigerians have reacted to the comment of the tax agency.
