Uzodinma Flayed For Graft Allegation Against Ihedioha

Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has set social media abuzz again with his statement that he inherited systemic corruption from the sacked governor of the state, Emeka Ihedioha.

Udodinma disclosed this when he spoke at the ceremony to commemorate Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary in Owerri on Thursday saying he inherited payroll fraud from Ihedioha.

The governor said: “Coming into office barely nine months ago, we encountered a microcosm of systemic corruption and disruption in the public sector. We met monumental payroll fraud in the system; we met a disoriented and disarticulated civil service and a very sorry state of infrastructural provisions.

This development elicited reactions from many netizens who berated the governor for singling out Ihedioha who had a brief stint in Douglas House and ignoring Iheidoha’s predecessor as governor, Rochas Okorocha, who comes from the same ruling party with the governor, the All Progressive Congress (APC).

GWG recalls that a few weeks back, Governor Hope Uzodinma was also tagged “Supreme Court” governor on social media after it was reported that the governor stated that the APC will go to court to challenge the victory of Governor Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Edo election.
