Many Nigerians have faulted the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu that placed a ban on all Tactical Squads operating at the Federal, Zonal and Command levels form carrying out routine patrols, stop and search duties, checkpoints and among others as a deceit.

Many went to social media to describe the ban as an ‘audio’ ban meaning that it was not meant to be bite saying that many previous reforms have been done before for the police unit but nothing changed.
GWG recalls that “Audio” in Nigerian lexicon means fake as depicted in Rudeboy of defunct Psquare song.

Many Twitter users who took to their micro – blogging platforms described the statement issued by the IGP as one of the lies been told about the force to deceive innocent citizens , noting that the same directives had been severally issued in the past but to no avail.

Among those who took exception with the police ban of Sunday were the Barcelona and Nigerian female football attacker, Assisat Oshoala, Sahareporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore. Music stars including Davido, Wizkid among others had also on Sunday flayed the activities of SARS.
