Lady Kills Her Kids After Husband Takes New Wife

A mother of two, identified as Hauwa Haruna who slipped into depression after her husband married another wife has macheted her two under ten children.

The two children a son, 10 and a daughter, 6 according to her were, however, attacked by her because t to death after her  after she feared they would attack her with a knife.

Hauwa was said to have attacked her son and daughter, who are 10 and 6 years old respectively,  to death with a cutlass.

The incident it was learnt, too place on Saturday, In Diso village, Gwale local government area of Kano State.

Hauwa’s husband, Ibrahim Haruna was said to have gone to meet the second wife in another house, when the incident occurred.

Confirming the incident, an uncle of the deceased children, identified as Sadiq Aminu said Hauwa also attempted to stab residents who came to resist her from killing the children.

Aminu disclosed that the relationship between Hauwa and the father of the deceased children had gone sour after he took another wife.

“His eldest wife, Hauwau called him on phone this morning that all is not well in their house, only for him to go to the house and meet the lifeless bodies of the children in the pool of blood. She carried out the atrocities and ran away from the house.

“She beat the children and used a knife to cut them. Her sister’s daughter (10-year-old) who was living with them was also another victim, but she survived with a cut on her hand.

The state police command spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna disclosed that the suspect has been arrested, with investigation ongoing.
