For Beating Girlfriend, Davido Cancels Lil Frosh’s Music Contract

Nigerian singer, Adeleke David, popularly known as Davido has terminated the contract of one of his artistes, Sanni Goriola Wasiu, aka Lil Frosh, over allegations of domestic violence raised against him.
In recent days, the social media was awash with allegations that Lil Frosh, who was signed as an artiste under Davido Music Worldwide, (DMW), a record label owned by Davido, beat his girlfriend, leaving her with pains and swollen face.
The pictures of the lady appeared on the social media, in which her face was swollen and part of her body with bruises.
The development generated outrage, with many Nigerians calling on Davido to terminate the contract of Lil Frosh.
Reacting, Davido, on Tuesday, in a statement, shared on his verified Twitter handle, said upon internal investigation by the record label, the contract of the artiste has been terminated.
“There is no excuse for the actions of Lil Frosh and we understand that there is nothing that can be said or done to take away the insensitivity shown.
“Upon internal investigations carried out by the label, we are left with no option than to terminate the recording contract that exists between the label and Lil Frosh, effective immediately. We hereby immediately severe all affiliations with Mr. Sanni Goriola Wasiu a.k.a. Lil Frosh.
“Once again, we do not condone domestic violence and stand with all victims of domestic violence,” part of the statement reads.
