Lagos Records Zero COVID-19 Case

120 News Cases In 13 States

For the first time since the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC started announcing daily number of new cases of COVID-19, Lagos State was conspicuously missing on Monday.

The NCDC announced 120 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the country with Rivers topping the list with 65 new cases.

The new cases on Monday brought the total infections in the country to 59, 465.

For the second consecutive day, no death was recorded in the country on account of the pandemic. That meant that the deaths in the country remained at 1,113.

Lagos State which has been the hotbed for the pandemic, however, even without any new case remains by far the state with the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 19,651 cases. It is followed by FCT with 5,758 cases and Plateau with 3,497 cases.

The NCDC in its tweet on developments on the day tweeted thus:
