Naira Marley’s decision to cancel the #EndSARS protest for an Instagram live chat with police spokesman, Frank Mba has not gone well with many Nigerians.

The controversial musician, on Monday, took to his verified Twitter handle to call for a protest on Tuesday morning in Lagos State against the spate of police brutality.

However, before the protest could go underway on Tuesday morning, the singer cancelled the explaining that the government was ready to make changes to address the issue.

“We won’t be protesting anymore because there’s a lot of changes being made right now. As a Marlian we will give them a week to see the changes and if there’s no changes we will start a mass protest. #togetherwecan” the singer tweeted.

The decision of the singer was not welcomed by those who had made up their minds to join the #EndSARS.

The ‘japa’ crooner has come under intense criticism for abandoning the street protest for a discussion on Instagram.
