Nigeria Records No COVID-19 Death For Fourth Day

For the fourth straight day, the country on Wednesday did not record any mortality from the COVID-19 pandemic despite the cyclical turns in the number of daily cases.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, however, reported 115 new cases of the pandemic in seven states and the FCT on Wednesday.

The last mortality credited to the pandemic in the country was the lone death on Saturday, October 3, 2020 when the total deaths due to COVID-19 rose to 1,113.

Since then the mortality has remained at that figure despite the cyclical rise and fall of new cases.

The 115 new cases on Wednesday brought the total number of cases from the pandemic to 59,738 confirmed cases. Out of that figure, 51,403 persons have been discharged leaving a total of 7,222 persons presently infected with the COVID-19 virus in the country.

The NCDC in its tweet of the developments on the day reported thus:
