Nollywood actress  Charity Eke aka, Chacha Eke has finally opened up on the reason behind the crash of her marriage with movie producer Austin Faani.

In a video message Cha-Cha Eke posted on her Instagram page, she revealed that she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

She said in the message that she was currently receiving treatment at the First Delta American Hospital in Asaba.

She dismissed claims that the marriage ended due to domestic violence, saying  Austin Faani has never raised his hands on her.

She said: “Five days ago I made a video saying that my marriage to Austin Faani is over. That video came with a lot of backlash from  people with many insinuating that it’s a clear case of   domestic violence.  It is not, Austin has never raised his hands on me. He has never even raised his voice on me and God in Heaven knows that’s the truth.

“I am here at First Delta American hospital here in Asaba receiving treatment.

“Several psychiatrists have come to assess me mentally and I have been diagnosed of bipolar disorder. Bipolar is real and here in Africa we tend to not know about it because of ignorance or (to) overlook it. I can not tell you all how I have been feeling in this tiny, tiny videos I have been making but I will however show you emotion pictures soon.”

This is coming after her brother, Aik Eke firmly rejected insinuations that domestic violence was involved in the breakup of the 10-year marriage.
