Nollywood Lends Help As Drugs Trail Chacha’s Collapse

Nigeria’s Nollywood stars led by Patience Ozokwor have strongly rallied around embattled star actress Chacha Eke in the wake of her marital and health issues.

The support from the movie stars is coming in the wake of allegations that the video recording she made and claimed to have bipolar disorder was coerced out of her by her estranged husband. Her brother, Aik Eke said the husband, Ausin Faani coerced the video recording in order to cover himself.

Even more, the controversies around her swelled further on Friday as Kemifilani reported that the issues between Chacha and her movie producer husband, Austin Faani was compounded by drugs.

The controversies nonetheless, Nollywood superstar, Patience Ozokwor led support for Chacha who claimed in her video to be hospitalized and receiving mental treatment in Asaba.

“I need to see or speak to you my dear daughter. It is very frustrating that I cannot reach you. You are in my prayers as always,” Mrs. Ozokwor wrote on Chacha Instagram page.

She was followed by others including Eve Esin who admonished her to take care of her health saying “Your health first Chachacha. Other things will be fixed. Love always to you and Faani!”

Destiny Etiko, LizzyGold Onuwaje were among others from the industry who also sent get well wishes to the embattled actress.

Ms. Eke had a week ago posted on her social media handles a message to the effect that she was leaving her husband saying that she had had enough.

She later exonerated her husband of accusations of abuse in a video message where she claimed she was suffering from bipolar disorder and was now seeking medical attention from psychiatrists

However, many Nigerians who reacted to the video accused her of lying alleging that her husband , Mr Faani  masterminded  the video.

Her brother, Aik Eke confirming the allegation took to his Instagram page  to blast his brother in-law, claiming he forced Chacha to do the video in order to save his name.

According to  to Kemi Filani News in a report alleged that Chacha’s video was a result of alleged consumption of drugs.

The online news portal claimed that the actress was allegedly influenced by drugs in her latest video.

“Who doesn’t know Chacha’s weed and drug story in Asaba? She needs to be taken for rehab as she is in a very bad state now. The couple is currently in so much debt of which most of the money is believed to have gone into their drug lifestyle. She is currently being “treated” by Austin’s doctor friend but trust me, she needs to be in a rehab Center.

“Apparently, she is frustrated whenever she isn’t high on drugs and bears her truth during such moments. I believe she wasn’t high on the day she came on SM to tell the world she is done. He introduced her to it, that’s why her brother called him out. Even the family knows,” the source revealed.
