Veteran Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo has enjoined the police authorities to deploy the disbanded police unit, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) to the Sambisa forest as according to her, they have no place in a civil society.

The thespian spoke as the #EndSARS protest continued in Lagos at the Lekki Toll gate.

Speaking to Arise TV at the protest venue she said: “We are sick and tired of audio ban or whatever. We want to see it happen, nine times they have rebranded them, but nothing has changed. The entire police force is messed up and they need to go in for proper mental evaluation.

“And then you can restructure them, obviously not rebrand or rename. We want to see it practically done. Listen, they are looking for where to deploy them to, I have a good suggestion, Sambisa needs people like them, they don’t belong to civil society.”

GWG recalls that there have been nationwide protests as youths call for the disbandment of SARS over their extra-judicial killings and police brutality.

This protest which gained international attention saw the Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu, disband the police unit and President Buhari had also assured that the police will be reformed.
