Many Nigerians have created short video clips to mimic the incident in which Babatunde Fashola, minister of works and housing, discovered a camera at the scene of the shooting in the Lekki tollgate area of Lagos State.

A social media challenge dubbed #FasholaChallenge has showed short video clips created by social media users to mimic the minister’s theatrical display at the Lekki tollgate.

On Sunday, Fashola, during the South West governors and ministers visit to Lagos State to assess the damages done by hoodlums, found a camera at the Lekki tollgate.

Lekki tollgate was one of  the rallying points of the #EndSARS protesters in the state for 13 days.

The protests came to a climax on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 when soldiers invaded the scene and opened fire on unarmed protesters who were singing national anthem and holding the Nigeria’s flag.

During the assessment tour, on Sunday, the minister picked up the camera with a handkerchief and handed it to the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while noting that it could be used for “forensic analysis” to unravel controversy surrounding the shooting.
