Okonjo-Iweala At WTO: Nigerians Say It’s Well Deserved

The news of the possible emergence of former Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, has sparked reactions on social media as many social media denizens applauded her victory as well deserved.
GWG reports that although the official announcement is yet to be made by the WTO, but the former Nigerian finance minister is in pole position to emerge after she gathered 104 votes from 164 member countries to defeat how South Korea’s trade minister at the final stage of the race.
She is thus expected to be the first female to lead the WTO.
Many Nigerians on social media took to the micro-blogging platform to congratulate Dr Ngozi for her emergence as WTO DG.
