WAEC To Release 2020 WASSCE Result On Monday

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is to release the results of the 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) on Monday, it announced on Sunday.

The results had been withheld on account of the recent #EndSARS violence that rocked the country that made the logistics for the release difficult.

Explaining its decision on its twitter handle on Sunday, WAEC said:

Recall that the examination body, had on September 14, embarked on Project45, in which it disclosed that it will release examination results within 45 days of the end of the examination.

However, last week, WAEC announced that it had postponed the release of the results due to the curfew imposed in some states due to the violence that broke out amidst the #EndSARS protests.
